Ansett was Australia's long-running second carrier, flying the domestic trunk network against TAA under the two airline policy. The 727 was a mainstay of that fleet, and the scheme here is the Southern Cross tail with the stylized star field, worn from the late 1980s. Ansett collapsed in 2001, so its markings have been out of the sky for decades.
