Description
HAS10222 - Hasegawa 1/200 Northwest Airlines DC-10-30/40 - WWHP113336
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
Northwest was the launch customer for the DC-10-40, the version built with Pratt & Whitney JT9Ds to suit the airline's existing engine fleet, and it later added the more common CF6 powered -30 for long haul. The trijets carried Northwest across the Pacific for decades, and the red tail with the compass point N and W logo became one of the most recognizable liveries in American aviation. The airframe on the box art is N211NW. Northwest itself disappeared into Delta in 2010, so this is a period scheme now.
Hasegawa's 1/200 DC-10 tooling covering the -30 and -40 variants with a Northwest decal sheet. Made in Japan.
