The A6M2-K was the Imperial Japanese Navy's two-seat advanced trainer variant of the Zero, adapted from the A6M2b airframe with a second cockpit forward of the standard position, full dual controls, and a fixed tailwheel in place of the retractable unit. Late production examples, built by Hitachi rather than the 21st Naval Air Arsenal, incorporated the outer wing panels of the A6M5 Model 52, distinguishing them from early-build aircraft. This 2011 limited edition release introduces new parts for the late-version airframe and includes a resin cast component alongside the standard injection-moulded sprues.
