The Porsche 917K was the car that turned Porsche into the dominant force in endurance racing, and in 1970 John Wyer's Gulf-sponsored team made the powder blue and orange livery famous worldwide. The JWA 917Ks took a 1-2 finish on their debut at the 1970 Daytona 24 Hours and went on to win most of the World Sportscar Championship rounds that season. Autoart's 1/18 diecast replica captures the No.1 Gulf car in its classic short-tail form.
