The Isuzu was a Nagara-class light cruiser of the Imperial Japanese Navy, completed in 1923 as a fast scout and destroyer-squadron leader. Mid-war she was extensively rebuilt into a dedicated anti-aircraft cruiser, with her original armament replaced by high-angle guns and a heavy battery of 25mm autocannon. She served through much of the Pacific campaign before being sunk by US submarines off Sumbawa in April 1945.
