This kit replicates the Imperial Japanese Navy light aircraft carrier Ryujo, completed in 1933 as an attempt to build a carrier under Washington Treaty tonnage limits, resulting in a distinctive top-heavy profile. Ryujo took part in operations across the early Pacific War before being sunk by US carrier aircraft at the Battle of the Eastern Solomons in August 1942. This is part of the Water Line Series, built as a waterline hull to 1/700 scale.
