Description
FUJ27020 - Fujimi 1/72 British Phantom F-4M "Shark Teeth" - WWWEB10106848
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The F-4M was the RAF's Phantom, known in service as the FGR.2 and built around Rolls-Royce Spey engines that meant a wider, deeper rear fuselage than the American versions. Delivered from 1968, it first served in the strike, attack and reconnaissance role at Coningsby and in RAF Germany before the Jaguar took over and the Phantom moved to air defence. This Fujimi boxing covers the early camouflaged Coningsby machines, including the shark mouth applied to 41 Squadron's XV495.
- 1/72 scale injection moulded plastic kit
- Grey styrene frames plus a clear frame for the canopy, with recessed panel line detail
- Two-seat cockpit with decal instrument panels, plus drop tanks, Sparrows and pylons
- Waterslide decal sheet with markings for four RAF aircraft: XV495 "Brewer's Droop" of 41 Squadron with the shark mouth, XV429 of 54 Squadron, XV422 of 6 Squadron, and XV436 of 228 OCU
- Decals include roundels, squadron badges and fin markings, serials, full airframe stencilling and cockpit detail
- Japanese instruction sheet with assembly diagrams and a painting and marking guide
- Note the box art shows a drag chute, which is not included in the kit
