The Douglas (later McDonnell Douglas) A-4 Skyhawk was a compact, lightweight carrier-based attack aircraft that served the US Navy and Marine Corps for decades. The two-seat TA-4 variants were tandem trainers: the TA-4F was a combat-capable version, while the TA-4J was a simplified advanced trainer that remained in Navy service into the 1990s. This kit comes from Fujimi's well-regarded A-4 Skyhawk family first tooled in 1987, covering the two-seat TA-4J and TA-4F.
