Description
12101 - Fujimi 1/24 Ford GT40 Mark II Le Mans Winner - WWWEB10108809
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
Ford began developing its own GT prototype in 1963 after an attempt to buy Ferrari collapsed, working with Eric Broadley's Lola GT as the starting point. The Mark II arrived with a 7 litre V8 making around 485 horsepower and took a one-two-three at Daytona in 1966, then repeated it at Le Mans for Ford's first outright win there. This kit covers the winning car, number 2, driven by Bruce McLaren and Chris Amon after the finish line controversy that cost Ken Miles the outright victory. Fujimi released it in their 1/24 Historic Racing Car series in 1989.
