Description

FON6005 -  Fonderie Miniature 1/48 Dewoitine D510 WWHP112876

 Preowned, Resealed, Parts off sprue

The Dewoitine D.510 was a development of the D.501, entering service with the French Air Force in 1936 with a more powerful engine, three-bladed metal propeller, and enlarged tail. Of the 118 built, a substantial number were exported: China ordered 24 (deployed against Japanese forces), Turkey ordered 36 (though the licence-build contract was not fulfilled), Japan purchased two for evaluation, and single examples went to Britain and the Soviet Union. Some aircraft also saw service in the Spanish Civil War. Kit 6005 covers the export variants with markings for Japanese, Turkish, and Chinese aircraft; the French Air Force version is covered in the companion kit 6003. Fonderie Miniature's D.510 is a true multimedia short-run production — one of very few 1/48 kits of the type and demanding of experienced builders.
