The Royal Aircraft Factory S.E.5a was one of the finest British fighters of the First World War. It was fast, steady and strong, and aces including Mick Mannock, James McCudden and Canada’s Billy Bishop flew it. The Hispano-Suiza V8 engine gave it excellent performance, and it served with RFC, RAF and US Air Service squadrons until the Armistice. After the war, Canada received SE.5as as part of Britain’s Imperial Gift, and they flew with the Canadian Air Force in the early 1920s. This Eduard Weekend Edition comes with Leading Edge decals for those Canadian aircraft.
