Description
DRA7568 - Dragon - 1/72 M4A1 Sherman 'Normandy' - WWHP113751
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The M4A1 was the first Sherman variant to go into production, in 1942. You can tell it by its rounded, one-piece cast hull, and it was powered by the Continental R975 radial engine. It became one of the most widely used Allied tanks of the war, and in British and Commonwealth service it was known as the Sherman II. Canada built its own version too: the Montreal Locomotive Works produced the Grizzly I, a licence-built M4A1. In Normandy in 1944, M4A1s of the US 2nd Armored Division “Hell on Wheels” fought through the hedgerow country, with some tanks carrying field-made cutters to punch through the dense bocage. Dragon’s Armor Pro line is known for packing fine detail into the small 1/72 scale.
- Over 90 parts on grey plastic sprues, covering the cast hull, turret, 75 mm gun and VVSS suspension

- Instructions, with the painting and marking guide printed on the back of the box
