The Sd.Kfz.250 was a light German armoured half-track built on the Demag D7 chassis and used in a wide range of roles, the /1 being the standard troop-carrying version armed with machine guns. The "Neu" (new) hull, introduced in October 1943, replaced the earlier vehicle's complex angled plates with simpler flat panels to speed production. These half-tracks served with reconnaissance and armoured units through to the end of the war.
