The Sd.Kfz.250/9 was the reconnaissance version of the German light half-track, fitting the same open-topped 2cm autocannon turret used on the Sd.Kfz.222 and later 234/1 armoured cars. Armed with a 2cm KwK 38 and a coaxial machine gun, it entered production in 1943 and took over the scouting role from the wheeled Sd.Kfz.222. This kit represents the simplified "Neu" hull adopted late that year.
