Description

DRA6252 - Dragon 1/35 Pz.Kpfw. VI Ausf. E Sd.Kfz.181 Tiger I - Initial Prod. 3 in 1 - PREOWNED117604

Preowned, Resealed, Mint

The Tiger I entered service in the autumn of 1942, and the first machines went straight into action near Leningrad with schwere Panzer-Abteilung 502. Those initial production vehicles are distinctive: rubber tyred road wheels, Feifel air cleaners, the drum cupola, an S-mine launcher fitting and the deep wading equipment that later Tigers dropped. An 8.8 cm KwK 36 and 100 mm of frontal armour made them nearly untouchable at range, and 502 kept some of these early hulls in service well into 1943.
