Description
DRA2006 - Dragon 1/200 Tu-95 Bear G - WWWEB10114342
Modern Air Power Series
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Tupolev Tu-95 entered Soviet service in 1956 and remains one of the few swept-wing turboprop aircraft ever built, its four Kuznetsov NK-12 engines driving contra-rotating propellers that make it among the loudest aircraft in the world. The Bear G designation covers the Tu-95K-22, older airframes rebuilt in the 1980s to carry the Kh-22 anti-ship missile with a revised nose radome and updated avionics. These aircraft were the ones Western fighter crews most often intercepted over the North Atlantic and Pacific during the late Cold War. This is Dragon's 1990 tooling in 1/200 scale from the Modern Air Power Series, with recessed panel lines and 78 parts.
Box contents:
- 78 parts moulded in styrene
- Fuselage halves with recessed panel detail
- Swept wings, tailplanes, and fin
- Four Kuznetsov NK-12 nacelles with contra-rotating propellers
- Kh-22 missiles and pylons
- Landing gear, wheels, and gear doors
- Clear canopy and glazing parts
- Waterslide decal sheet with Soviet Air Force markings
- Illustrated assembly and painting instructions
