The Westland Wessex was a British turbine-powered development of the Sikorsky S-58, and the twin Gnome-engined HCC4 was built specifically for royal transport. Two examples joined The Queen's Flight in 1969, wearing its distinctive royal red and blue livery and carrying members of the Royal Family on official duties for nearly three decades until the unit was merged into No. 32 (The Royal) Squadron in the late 1990s. Corgi's compact die-cast captures this elegant VIP helicopter in its royal colours.
