The Renault RE20 was the car that proved the turbocharged engine could win in Formula 1. A refined development of the pioneering RS-10, the RE20 used a 1.5-litre twin-turbocharged V6 producing around 520hp and won three Grands Prix in 1980 with drivers René Arnoux and Jean-Pierre Jabouille. It remains one of the most significant F1 cars of the modern era as the machine that triggered the turbo revolution.
