CLA452 - Classic Airframes 1/48 Savoia Marchetti S.79 Spanish Civil War - WWWEB10114065
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
The Savoia-Marchetti SM.79 Sparviero was an Italian three-engined medium bomber that first flew in 1934, recognisable by the dorsal hump behind the cockpit that earned it the nickname "Gobbo" (hunchback). It saw early combat with the Aviazione Legionaria during the Spanish Civil War, where its speed made it difficult for contemporary fighters to intercept, and went on to become Italy's most important bomber of the Second World War, particularly in the torpedo-bomber role. This is a limited-run multimedia kit (new tool, 2001) intended for experienced modellers, with cast resin detail parts requiring cyanoacrylate assembly.
Box contents:
- Injection-moulded grey plastic sprues
- Clear plastic sprue for glazing
- Cast resin detail parts
- Waterslide decal sheet (custom printed by Microscale; Spanish Civil War "Sorci Verdi" 28-6 and 1941 Sicily 193-1 options)
- Illustrated assembly instructions with painting and markings guide
