The PzKpfw I was obsolete as a gun tank almost as soon as the war began, but its chassis stayed useful for years. Hulls were converted into tank destroyers, self-propelled infantry guns, flak platforms, flamethrowers, ammunition carriers, demolition charge layers and engineer vehicles, most of them built in small batches and poorly documented. This sheet covers thirteen of those conversions, each researched from period photographs.
