The Red Tail is Faye Valentine's personal fighter in Cowboy Bebop, Shinichirō Watanabe's 1998 anime about a crew of bounty hunters drifting through the solar system in 2071. It's a compact "mono racer" with a spherical cockpit pod slung between two big arms that carry its thrusters and heavy guns, and its claw-like grapple can snag targets in mid-flight. Along with Spike's Swordfish II, it's one of the series' signature ships, and Cowboy Bebop is still one of the most influential anime ever made.
