The Me 262 W3 was a late-war Messerschmitt project design exploring a single-engine derivative of the Me 262 airframe, with one turbojet mounted in a ventral pod beneath the fuselage rather than the standard twin-engine nacelle arrangement. Like most German jet project aircraft of 1944–45, it did not advance beyond the design study stage. A+V Models (Jaromír Anniš, Kladno, Czech Republic) is a small Czech cottage manufacturer specialising in obscure German project and prototype aircraft in resin. Kits from this producer are strictly for experienced modellers comfortable with resin construction and minimal instructions.
