The Messerschmitt Bf 109G "Gustav" was the most-produced variant of Germany's premier fighter, entering service in 1942 and serving on all fronts through the end of the war. Powered by the Daimler-Benz DB 605A producing 1,475 hp, the G-6 introduced heavier armament with twin 13mm MG 131 machine guns in distinctive cowling bulges. The type equipped virtually every Luftwaffe fighter unit and was operated by numerous Axis and allied air forces. ARII rebox of Otaki's original OT2-25 tooling (1975), released 1986. Series No. 13. Canadian distribution by Hobbycraft Canada.
