Description
ARH70083 - Arma Hobby 1/72 Messerschmitt Me-262A-1a - WWHP113537
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Me 262 was the world's first mass-produced jet fighter to see combat, though technical trouble and organisational delay kept it from front line units until spring 1944, by which point Germany's position was already critical. The A-1a's job was intercepting Allied bomber formations, its speed letting it close, fire a short burst from four 30 mm MK 108 cannon and disengage before the escorts could react. After the war captured airframes were studied closely by the Allies, and Czechoslovakia built a short production run as the Avia S-92, which served until 1950.
In the box:
- Grey styrene sprues A and B with finely engraved detail
- Clear sprue T for the canopy and gunsight
- Die-cut canopy and wheel masks
- Full cockpit, MK 108 cannon bay detail, undercarriage and drop tanks
- Waterslide decal sheet covering all three options plus stencils
- Instruction sheet with history text and paint callouts cross-referenced to Hataka, AK RC, MR Paint, Humbrol, Mr. Color, Vallejo and Tamiya
- QR link to downloadable 3D files for printing extra accessories
- Three marking options: Hans Guido Mutke, 9./JG 7, Fürstenfeldbruck, April 1945; Adolf Galland, Jagdverband 44, München-Riem, February to April 1945; and Avia S-92 Turbina V-40, Czechoslovak Air Force, Žatec, 1947 to 1950
