AOS05782 - Aoshima - 1/72 JGSDF Type 96 Armored Personel Carrier Type B

The Type 96 is the Japan Ground Self Defense Force's standard wheeled APC, in service since 1996 and built by Komatsu. Eight wheel drive, a ten man dismount capacity, and a boxy welded hull that trades protection for road speed and strategic mobility. The Type B is the version with the 12.7 mm heavy machine gun cupola rather than the 40 mm automatic grenade launcher fitted to the Type A.
