Description
AMTT639 - AMT 1/48 Stinson Reliant SR-9 - WWWEB10109303
Preowned, Resealed, Mint inside, Box worn
The Stinson Reliant was built from 1933 to 1941. It earned a reputation for ruggedness and reliability with corporate and private owners. The early SR-1 through SR-6 had straight wings. In 1936 the SR-7 introduced the gull wing that made the later Reliants so recognizable. The SR-9 of 1937 was a five-passenger executive aircraft with a deluxe interior, powered by a Pratt & Whitney Wasp Jr. radial engine. During the Second World War, 45 privately owned SR-8s, SR-9s and SR-10s were requisitioned for military use. This vintage AMT kit builds the SR-9 in its classic civil white and gold scheme.
