AMTT286 - AMT 1/25 '65 GTO Pontiac - WWHP113792
Preowned, Resealed, some parts off sprue, Box damaged
Pontiac launched the GTO in 1964 as an option package for the mid-size Tempest LeMans. A team led by John DeLorean dropped the big 389 V8 into the lighter car, and it’s widely credited as the car that started the muscle car era. For 1965 the GTO got its stacked headlights, a new hood scoop and up to 360 hp with the Tri-Power three two-barrel setup. Pontiac’s “GTO Tiger” advertising, with its “Grrrrr” licence plate seen on the box art, made it a hit with young buyers. This vintage AMT kit from the All-American Show ‘N Go series builds the ‘65 GTO three ways: stock, custom with an optional fastback top, or drag.
