The 1978 Ford F-Series belonged to the sixth generation, known to truck fans as the “Dentside” for the long indented body line along its flanks. In 1977 the F-Series became America’s best-selling pickup, a title it has held ever since. Factory 4x4 versions grew in popularity through the decade as the custom truck craze took off. This AMT kit builds a 1978 Ford 4x4 in the Firestone “Super Stones” promotional theme of that era. It has red and white paint with flames, a roll bar with lights, a front brush guard and a Firestone tonneau cover over the bed.
