Chevrolet's all-new C/K trucks arrived for 1960 with a lower, wider body and a dropped frame that gave a lower ride height. The C models got independent front suspension with torsion bars, and the K models added four-wheel drive. The 1960 and 1961 trucks are easy to spot by their jet-pod "eyebrow" hood openings. The Fleetside bed had smooth, slab sides that flowed straight into the cab lines. That first-year styling has made the '60 a classic with collectors and customizers ever since.
