The Escalade EXT took the Chevrolet Avalanche platform and gave it Cadillac's chrome-heavy front end, leather interior and 6.0 litre V8. It arrived just as the SUV became the centrepiece of American custom car culture, and it was a fixture in the pages of Rides Magazine, which lent its name to this AMT custom series. Now discontinued.
