Knight Rider 2000 was the 1991 television movie that brought the series back for one more run, and it gave KITT a successor built on something real: the Pontiac Banshee IV, a GM concept car that had been touring the show circuit with a body shaped like nothing else on the road. Painted red for the film, the Banshee's long low nose, wraparound glass and integrated rear wing made it look like the future in a way that most 1991 design studies did not. General Motors never built it, so the movie car and this kit are as close as anyone gets to owning one.
