Description
31231 - AMT 1/25 1969 Plymouth GTX Convertible - WWWEB10107251
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
Plymouth launched the GTX in 1967 as the upmarket end of its muscle car range, with the 440 Super Commando V8 standard and the 426 Hemi available at extra cost. For 1969 the cars received a revised grille and taillights, and the convertible was easily the rarest way to order one, accounting for only a small slice of GTX production before the drop top was dropped after 1970.
This is AMT/ERTL kit 31231, the 2002 Buyer's Choice boxing of AMT's 1/25 scale 1969 GTX convertible tooling. It builds a stock convertible with the top down, with a full 440 V8, detailed chassis, and a complete interior with bucket seats and console. Parts are moulded in white with a separate chrome tree, clear glazing, and soft vinyl tires. Skill level 2, paint and cement required. Finished length is roughly 8 inches.
- Body shell moulded in white
- Two white plastic parts trees covering chassis, interior, and engine
- One chrome plated tree with bumpers, grille, wheels, and engine detail
- One clear tree for windscreen and light lenses
- Four soft vinyl tires
- Waterslide decal sheet with badging, stripes, and instrument faces
- Illustrated assembly instructions
