In the 1960s, short-track racers across North America hauled their modified stock cars to the track on open trailers behind everyday pickups. This AMT kit captures that era of Saturday-night racing. It includes a 1953 Ford F-100 pickup in Gulf livery and a tandem-axle ramp trailer with a tire rack and spare racing wheels. The ‘53 F-100 marked Ford’s 50th anniversary and began the F-Series name. In this kit you can build it stock, with Ford’s flathead V8, whitewalls and hubcaps, or as a “best dressed” custom with a DeSoto Firedome Hemi V8, custom grille, side pipes, bed cover and dish wheels. Welding tanks and tools complete the pit scene. Racing car not included.
