Description
AMT1174/12 - AMT 1/200 Saturn V Rocket & Apollo Spacecraft - WWHP113520
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Saturn V stood 363 feet tall and remains the most powerful rocket ever flown successfully. Five F-1 engines gave the first stage 7.5 million pounds of thrust to push the stack to 36 miles and 6,000 mph in two and a half minutes, then five J-2s took over for the climb to orbit, and a single J-2 on the third stage restarted to send the Apollo spacecraft toward the Moon at 24,900 mph. Thirteen were launched between 1967 and 1973, carrying every Apollo lunar crew and finally the Skylab station.
In the box:
- Injection moulded plastic parts in white, exact 1/200 scale
- Full three stage Saturn V launch vehicle with F-1 and J-2 engine detail, interstage fairings and instrument unit
