Developed from the Lincoln bomber and carrying Lancaster DNA, the Shackleton served the RAF first as a maritime patrol aircraft and then as its primary airborne early warning platform. Four Rolls Royce Griffons driving contra rotating propellers made it famously loud, and the AEW.2 stayed in service until 1991. At 1/72 this is a large four engine build with a 508mm span.
