Description
AIRA05043 - Airfix - 1/72 Bristol Beaufighter TF.10 - WWHP113319
Preowned, Original seal, Mint
The Bristol Beaufighter grew out of the earlier Beaufort torpedo bomber and turned into one of the most versatile British aircraft of the war. Two Bristol Hercules radials gave it speed and reach, and four 20 mm cannon in the nose gave it a punch few contemporaries could match. It served as a night fighter, but its greatest success came with Coastal Command, where the TF.X could carry either a torpedo or rocket projectiles and took a heavy toll of Axis shipping. Late production TF.X aircraft gained a dorsal fin fillet, thimble nose radar, twin-bank rocket rails, and large propeller spinners. This Airfix 1/72 kit covers a wartime Dallachy strike wing aircraft and a postwar Operation Firedog machine in Malaya.
