Description
AIRA02103 - Airfix 1/72 Hunting Percival Jet Provost T.3 - WWWEB10115482
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Jet Provost was developed by Hunting Percival from the piston-engined Provost and became the RAF's premier basic jet trainer, in service from the mid 1950s until 1993. The T.3, introduced in 1959, brought an uprated Viper engine and an improved canopy that gave the side-by-side crew a much better view. Students found it forgiving and easy to learn on, and the unswept wing with tip tanks gave useful endurance. A generation of RAF front line pilots in the 1960s and 1970s learned their trade on it. This is Airfix's 2016 new tooling in 1/72, with fine scribed panel detail and optional parts.
