The Dornier Do 217 was Germany's heavier successor to the Do 17, entering Luftwaffe service in 1941. The E-2 variant served as a level bomber and anti-shipping aircraft with units such as KG 2, carrying up to 4,000 kg of bombs and a dorsal turret. Box art depicts RH+EJ in the classic RLM 70/71 splinter over RLM 65 scheme.

This is the original 1960 Airfix tooling in the 1960s "AIRFIX-72" Series 3 rigid box, made in England.
