Description
AIR255 - Airfix 1/72 Beagle Basset 206 - WWHP113479
Preowned, Resealed, Parts off sprue
The Beagle B.206 was a sleek twin engine light transport built at Shoreham, and the RAF bought a batch as the Basset CC.1 to shuttle V-bomber crews around. It proved marginal in that role and Beagle folded in 1969, so only small numbers were built, most of them going to communications squadrons before being sold off in 1974.
This is Airfix pattern no. 255, their 1968 tooling of the Basset in 1/72 with Roy Cross box art. Raised panel lines and rivet detail, optional position undercarriage, a cabin interior with floor, seats, and twin control wheels, plus two pilot figures and a display stand. Decals cover RAF Transport Command machines with a choice of serials.
- Light grey styrene parts trees covering fuselage, wings, tail, nacelles, and undercarriage
- Clear sprue for cockpit and cabin glazing
- Two pilot figures
- Display stand
- Waterslide decal sheet with alternative RAF serials
- Illustrated instruction sheet
