The France entered service with Compagnie Générale Transatlantique in 1962 as the longest passenger ship in the world, a title she held until Queen Mary 2 arrived in 2004. She was the last of the great transatlantic liners built for the North Atlantic run, with the distinctive winged funnels designed to throw smoke clear of the decks. Rising fuel costs ended the crossings in 1974, and she later sailed as Norway before being scrapped in 2008.

Vintage Airfix tooling, Made in England. This is a large model at roughly 51 cm long when finished.
