The Sea Hurricane came out of a wartime scramble to get fighters over the convoys. The Mk.IA was catapulted from merchant ships on one way flights, but the Mk.IB added an arrester hook and catapult spools so it could operate properly from carrier decks, and it flew with Fleet Air Arm squadrons on the Malta and Arctic runs.

This is Airfix kit A05134 in 1/48. Finely engraved surfaces, a detailed cockpit with instrument decals, and naval specific parts including the arrester hook. Decals cover a No. 880 NAS aircraft, AF955 coded 7-E, and a No. 804 NAS machine, P2731 coded S7F. Finished model is 200mm long with a 255mm span.
