The F3 was the interceptor Tornado, stretched ahead of the wing to make room for a bigger radar and semi recessed Skyflash missiles. It was never meant to dogfight, its job was to sit far out over the North Sea and shoot down Soviet bombers before they reached the UK, and the long range and endurance suited that exactly. RAF F3s later flew combat air patrols over Iraq and the Balkans before the Typhoon took over in 2011. The box art aircraft is ZE159 in the 111 Squadron 1917 to 2002 anniversary scheme.
