Developed by Hawker Siddeley as a replacement for the Gnat, the Hawk entered RAF service in 1976 and went on to become one of Britain's most successful jet trainers. In 1980 the Red Arrows traded their Gnats for the Hawk T1, and the team has flown it in its famous all-red scheme ever since. This Airfix kit captures the display team Hawk, with alternate markings for RAF training squadron aircraft.
