The de Havilland Mosquito was one of the most versatile aircraft of the Second World War, serving effectively as a night fighter, fighter-bomber, and anti-shipping strike aircraft. Built primarily of wood, it was faster than most Axis fighters when it entered service in 1941 and went on to fly some of the war's most celebrated precision raids. This kit covers three operational variants: the NF.Mk.II night fighter, the FB.Mk.VI fighter-bomber (the most-produced Mosquito fighter with over 2,500 built), and the Mk.XVIII anti-shipping variant fitted with the Molins 57mm cannon.
