AIR02044-6 - Airfix 1/72 B A C Strikemaster - WWWEB10108245
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The BAC 167 Strikemaster was an armed, uprated development of the Jet Provost trainer, marketed as a low-cost light attack and counter-insurgency aircraft. Export customers included Saudi Arabia, New Zealand, Singapore, and Oman, whose Strikemasters saw extensive combat in the Dhofar campaign of the 1970s. Roy Cross box art depicts a Sultan of Oman's Air Force machine with underwing stores over desert terrain.
This is the original 1973 Airfix tooling in its first-issue Series 2 box with "NEW" starburst, made in England. Optional parts build either the Strikemaster Mk.82 or the RAF Jet Provost T.5.
Box contents:
- Parts molded in plastic with clear canopy
- Optional parts for Strikemaster Mk.82 or Jet Provost T.5, with full underwing stores for the Strikemaster
- Waterslide decals with two options: Sultan of Oman's Air Force and RAF "Red Pelicans" aerobatic team Jet Provost
- Assembly instructions
