Description
AFVAF35185 - AFV Club 1/35 Valentine Mk.II - WWHP111425
Preowned, Resealed, Mint
The Valentine was a British infantry tank developed by Vickers-Armstrongs in the late 1930s, entering service in 1940. Though modest in speed and armament by mid-war standards, it was mechanically reliable and produced in large numbers — over 2,500 built in the UK alone, with additional production in Canada. The Mk.II introduced an AEC diesel engine in place of the Mk.I's petrol unit, improving range and reducing fire risk. Valentines saw extensive service in North Africa with the 8th Army and were supplied to the Soviet Union under Lend-Lease in substantial quantities.
Second in AFV Club's 1/35 Valentine series, following the Mk.I (AF35178). Based on museum vehicle measurement and reference.
Box contents:
- 356 parts across 11 olive drab plastic sprues (majority shared with AF35178 Mk.I tooling; 2 new sprues specific to this boxing)

- 35 photo-etched brass parts
- 2 lengths of vinyl track with vinyl washers
- 4 spare individual track links (white plastic, from track set AF35197)
- Aluminium barrel tube
- Waterslide decal sheet — 2 marking options (specific unit/vehicle IDs unconfirmed; cross-reference instructions)
