The Wiesel ("Weasel") was developed for the Bundeswehr to meet a requirement for an air-transportable light armoured vehicle for airborne and air assault troops — small enough to be carried internally by a CH-53 helicopter. The Mk20A1 variant mounts a Rheinmetall Mk 20 DM6 20mm chain gun in a small open-topped turret, providing mobile direct fire support for Fallschirmjäger units. The Wiesel saw operational service with KFOR in Kosovo and with the German contingent in Somalia during Operation Restore Hope.

Original 1995 tooling; the 2008 boxing (this release) is a rebox with updated packaging.
