The Consolidated PBY Catalina was one of the most widely used flying boats of the Second World War, serving in patrol bomber, maritime reconnaissance, and air-sea rescue roles. The PBY-5 was the pure flying-boat (non-amphibious) version, powered by twin Pratt & Whitney R-1830 radials. This boxing wears the early US Navy silver and yellow-wing scheme of patrol aircraft 14-P-11.
