The M113 Fitter is a combat repair variant of the ubiquitous M113 APC, configured as a light armoured recovery and field repair vehicle. Operating within armoured units, it carried spare parts racks, tool storage, and a jib crane to handle component-level repairs under battlefield conditions — keeping vehicles in the fight without requiring evacuation to a rear workshop. Israel fielded the type extensively and developed numerous M113 variants suited to their operational doctrine; the Australian Army also operated the Fitter variant as part of their M113 fleet.

Scalemates notes this as a 1997 release with new parts. The kit was subsequently reboxed as Academy 13568. A well-regarded kit — builders note accurate interior detail and good fit; kit decals have a poor reputation and aftermarket alternatives are recommended.
