The B-47 Stratojet entered SAC service in 1951 with six jet engines slung under a swept wing at a time when most bombers still had propellers. The 306th Bomb Wing at MacDill was the first to convert. Over 1,300 were built, they served until 1965, and the RB-47 reconnaissance versions flew the riskiest missions of the early Cold War.

Finished model is about 235 mm long with a 300 mm span. Natural metal finish throughout.
